Jake, Sam, and Michael were all professional, knowledgeable, and great communicators. They showed us design options as they worked — even building part of the waterfall so we could choose between one cascade or two. We did have an issue with the initial build, but Premier handled it exactly the way you hope a company would. They took everything apart, found the problem, and rebuilt the pond at their expense. Mike, the owner, supervised the second build and made several aesthetic improvements, and the pond is now the best version it’s ever been. It’s holding water perfectly. We quickly realized our largest pond was having significant issues with water retention, and our waterfall had turned in to a geyser. Matthew and his crew came out that first year and helped us get everything stabilized, and redesigned and rebuilt our waterfall. Each year since, they’ve been out to clean and make additional updates to our ponds. This year Matthew and co completely renovated our third pond bringing it from a small, shallow mess to a stunning 3.5’ deep habitat for our youngest fish puppies. I know it’s a trek for them to come all the way down to Manassas, but we have been beyond pleased with every aspect of our experience with Premier Ponds and we cannot say enough good things about them. They are an absolutely AMAZING company!!! I started my search with 4 different pond companies. It did not take me long to know that Premier Ponds was the company for us. The journey starts with Andrew the owner. Andrew from the very start, returned my text messages and emails IMMEDIATELY!!! This means alot to me, unlike the other companies that either took forever to respond or didn't respond at all. I also spoke with Andrew several times on the phone. He made sure that I understood everything that was going to happen with our project and made sure to answer any and all questions that we had. Next step in the process was Mike, field engineer, coming out to our house. Mike is a very nice and knowledgeable gentleman that explained the entire procedure and made sure that we understood EXACTLY what was going to happen again answering any and all questions that we had. Finally the crew, Supervised by Kevin came out to do the Job. The crew was a group of VERY hard working , respectable young men that not only paid attention to staying on track with our project , but also kept our yard AND house very clean and clutter free. I was noticing the water level go down in pond consistently for a couple of weeks. I called Premier to tell them, we had a great discussion and first step was to send the crew to clean and look for the issue. The team arrived did a fantastic job of cleaning the pond. Including removing many roots that were pushing the liner down. They also did a great job and noticed a part of the pump probably needed to be swapped out. After they did the cleaning and repair the leak has stopped. We chose Premier Ponds. They have outstanding reviews and were very responsive to inquiries. Andrew, the owner, responded personally, detailing what was involved with the cleaning and restoring of the pond. The workers were on time and efficient. Watching the waterfall turn on for the first time was awesome!! The kids returned to school and loved the pond. The environment was exactly what we envisioned. Students were here for summer school and were often seen spending time outside around the pond, watching the fish, butterflies, birds and even a praying mantis was spotted. The students listened to the trickle of the waterfall, the birds sing, and some of the fish splash. Teachers have used the pond ecosystem for lessons by taking samples of water to look for microorganisms under microscopes since field trips were cancelled due to Covid. Once the new school year started our school didn't receive any discretional funds to have professional maintenance done and Andrew went above and beyond offering email support of steps we could take to insure the pond was winter ready. We are so incredibly impressed and happy with Premier ponds for making our school that much better with our water feature. My area is awash with mosquitos, so I was, additionally, wanting to attract and retain a healthy population of dragonflies. I first worked over the phone with Andrew to discuss the size and options. He was extremely friendly and answered any followup questions I had over the next few weeks. The before and after pictures as well as videos they have on their website were also really helpful, and gave me an idea of what to expect. Andrew set up an appointment with TJ who became the project manager for my pond. TJ came over and walked me through a visual of the size and shape of the pond, the features that would be installed, etc. It really helped to see it marked out on the lawn. TJ and his team did an amazing job in some of the most relentless heat of the summer to build the pond out. Some of the stones they moved into place are humongous! One of the guys even did research to find out what pond plants are most attractive to dragonflies and that's what they brought over! The pond with its natural shape, varying stone, gentle waterfall, and plantings already looks like it has been there forever! TJ walked me through the basic maintenance I need to do and I've opted to have Premier Ponds do the twice a year service to keep the pond in tip top shape. The best bonus of all, is that within a week of installation, I had both orange and blue dragonflies that took up residence and eviscerated the mosquito population! Not surprisingly, it turned into an ugly mass of algae, and no chemicals would keep the algae at bay. Enter Premier Ponds who arrived on time the day they said they would come. Within two and a half days, Mike, Andrew, TJ and Terry had totally redone our pond with two waterfalls, a skimmer, plants, lights that come on at dusk, and no algae. A few weeks later we had trouble figuring out how to open the "gate" on the skimmer, and I called Mike. He answered on the second ring and walked us through what needed to be done. I happened to see a laptop, at my place of business, with a beautiful picture of what I thought to be a park but I learned this was a backyard pond that was constructed by Premier Ponds. The laptop belonged to the father of Mike K. I was given a phone number and an email address to contact Mike K. I did contact Mike by email and started communicating and asking questions on all aspects of what was involved in building a new pond. After about a month and many emails between the two of us I was satisfied and committed to a 10’x15’ pond with a double drop waterfall, a stepper edge, an ionizer, a mystery waterfall, a cave, a tunnel, plants and lights. Mike stated that the month of October was their pond cleaning month and that he wouldn’t be able to start until the middle of November. I was concerned about the weather but Mike, Andrew, Nick and the rest of the Premier Pond crew arrived on the morning of November 14, 2016 and the weather couldn’t have been better. They all knew what to do and pitched in removing sod, and digging the pond. Before long a large truck arrived with 300 lb. stones for the pond and stepper stones to surround the pond. Everything started to take shape: the skimmer and the bio-filter placement as well as the underlay and liner. I tried to stay out of their way as I wanted to take a lot of pictures as they worked. After 3 days I had a completed pond and before they left they installed a net over the pond and thank goodness they did because the wind started blowing and leaves started falling, but not in the new pond. They cleaned up every last thing before they left so I had nothing to clean up. It is now the middle of January 2017 and there is almost no maintenance required except for the removal of a few leaves that made it under the net. Mike and his crew doing the work are all a great group of guys, very professional and efficient. Premier ponds evaluated it, suggested some changes to our original pump system, and we agreed on a date to replace the liner and plumbing. The very polite and helpful crew arrived right on time and completed the work in one day. After the pond was completely re-filled some liner was showing above the water. Premier ponds came out and without question adjusted the rock surround so that no liner now shows.
