Paul, a landscape professional, had always envisioned a professional pond in his backyard. He submitted a hand-drawn sketch of his “dream pond” to Premier Ponds; Andrew and Mike turned a simple grass lawn into a stunning aquatic paradise with waterfalls, a wooden bridge, and lush landscaping.
Paul needed a new pond at his childhood home for his beloved koi fish, which he had previously cared for in his old DIY pond. His most significant request was incorporating a double-drop waterfall into a yard with no natural elevation. Premier Ponds also needed to transfer the fish safely to their new home without stress.
Premier Ponds used carefully placed stones to craft a cascading waterfall even though Paul’s yard had flat terrain. They also built a fish tunnel to protect Paul’s koi from predators and installed underwater lights to enhance the nighttime pond experience. The result is a stunning ecosystem with low maintenance, which is Paul’s peaceful backyard retreat.
